Training

The training division is responsible for ensuring compliance with mandated training requirements established by the Corrections Standards Authority. The Training Department provides annual and entry level training to sworn staff and assists the Administration division in unit specific functions.

The Training Officer and the Background Investigator participate in staff recruitment via job fairs and community presentations. The Probation Department also has three appointed Range Masters who are responsible for the weapons training and ongoing qualification of all armed staff.
