The Administrative Services Division combines and centralizes a variety of services involved in the day-to-day operations of the Probation Department. The Professional Standards Unit handles staff recruitment and background investigations for both sworn and non-sworn positions, including extra help employees, volunteers, and interns. Our department’s Social Media presence and public relations matters are also coordinated by Professional Standards. The Human Resources unit handles payroll, personnel, records, Worker’s Compensation claims, leaves of absence, medical leaves, and COVID-19 related leaves. Our Training Unit handles staff training and development, with many trainings and certifications offered in-house. The Special Services Team coordinates and oversees the Juvenile Court Work Program (JCWP), a dispositional alternative offered by the Court akin to Community Service, our range instructors and Simmunitions classes, as well as a multitude of maintenance projects throughout the department. Technology Services provides technical support, security, and modern solutions for the department’s information technology needs.
The Fiscal, Research & Planning Division administers the Department’s annual budget, accounts payable, revenue, collection of victim restitution, grants, data collection and reporting, and special projects and analysis.
