Victor Cotera

Victor Cotera earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, with a minor in Sociology, from California State University, Bakersfield in 2000. Later that year he started his career with the County of Kern as a social worker for the Department of Human Services. Victor began his career with the Probation Department in 2003 as a Deputy Probation Officer and has served in a variety of positions including Custody Intake, Adult Investigations, Mandatory Supervision and the Adult Programming Unit. In November of 2012, Victor was promoted to Probation Supervisor during which time he oversaw the creation of the Adult Programming Center. In April of 2017, he was promoted to Probation Division Director of Adult Services.
