The Division Director for Fiscal, Research & Planning is responsible for budget development, preparation and control, accounts payable, claims preparation, accounts receivable, collections and the coordination of data systems.
Personnel Services processes all employment applications for regular and extra help candidates. The employment procedure involves conducting interviews and agility tests, processing criminal record checks, completing extensive background investigations, and scheduling physical and psychological evaluations. The payroll process, as well as all paperwork for new, existing and terminating employees, is accomplished within this division of the department. Internal Investigations are conducted, when appropriate, through the Administrative Services Division as well.
The Technology Services Unit provides high quality and effective technology support to all areas of the department. They maintain and provide a secure and innovative information system. They promote new uses of information technology and keep the department informed on trends and new regulations. The department’s use of technology and the complexity of new technology continue to expand. This unit continually assists with research in order to aid in preparation for the future technological direction of the department.
