Frank A. Herrera III has loyally served the County of Kern in his work for the Probation Department for more than two decades. Frank is currently the Director of the Administrative Services Division. In this assignment, he is responsible for the managerial oversight of the department’s Professional Standards, Training, Range, Special Projects, and Human Resources Units. He has served the department and community in various roles and assignments including the Early Intervention Program, the Repeat Offender Prevention Program, and Youth Supervision. Additionally, Frank has previously served as a Duty Supervisor for James G. Bowles Youth Detention Center and Probation Supervisor of the Regional Supervision Unit. In this capacity, he supervised a group of Probation Officers responsible for the supervision and rehabilitation of youth in all outlying areas. Frank received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from California State University, Bakersfield. Frank also earned a master’s degree in Public Administration from CSUB in 2004.

Frank comes from a decade’s long family legacy of public service to the community of Delano. He continues this public service legacy through his appointment as the Chairman of the Delano Planning Commission and his work to strengthen his community.
