Teresa L. Dickey began her career with the Probation Department as a Group Counselor Extra Help at Youth Detention Facility in 2000. She was appointed as a permanent Group Counselor and worked at Youth Detention Facility and the Kern Crossroads Facility soon thereafter. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology from California State University Bakersfield. In 2005, Teresa was promoted to the Deputy Probation Officer classification, where she worked on several assignments before promoting to Probation Supervisor in 2010. As a supervisor, she was assigned to the Youth Placement Supervision. In April 2025, she was promoted to Assistant Probation Division Director at Camp Erwin Owen.
